We have been breeding quality Labrador Retrievers for over 25 years, using dams and sires that excel in health, intelligence, and have outstanding temperaments. Sires are usually top champions, and dams are our girls who excel in obedience trials, scent detection work, medical detection such as Diabetes Alert Dogs, or compete in obedience and/or agility. Pairing of sires and dams are carefully chosen to accentuate the best qualities in the breed. Breedings are done with either service dogs or show dogs as the intent for the litter. All puppies are raised from day one until they leave us IN OUR HOME, never in outdoor kennels, and receive individual handling and care every single day. On our 24 acre farm outside Shepherdstown, WV we introduce puppies to the world with love and care, using scientifically proven neuro-stimulation processes and early scent introduction techniques as well as socialization skills gathered from many years of study. Our puppies have been extremely successful in service dog work, and have even been pictured on magazine covers. I am a member in good standing of the AKC, UKC, and Labrador Retriever Club, as well as an AKC evaluator.
We specialize in training service dogs, with a special focus on dogs to help type one diabetics, Diabetes Alert Dogs. DADs are Diabetes (or Diabetic) Alert Dogs, service dogs specially trained to alert their handler with type one diabetes to diabetic lows (and sometimes highs.) A variety of levels of training are available to meet each individual's needs. Service dogs for a variety of conditions are available for training. Autism service dogs, mobility assistance service dogs, service dogs for physical limitations, service dogs for PTSD, service dogs for seizure alert and response, and service dogs for Crohns disease, and service dogs for anxiety disorders are just some of the other service dogs available. If you or a loved one have a disability that you think a service dog may be able to help with, or if you'd like to discuss whether a service dog may be appropriate for a condition, please contact Becky at [email protected] or 304-260-8294 to discuss options.
Training of pet dogs and private handler/trainer coaching is available for pets and for service dogs of all types who need additional training. Coaching of the dog/handler team to teach both the dog and handler, as well as build bonds and create better training is preferred, but intensive board and train training is also available. Contact us for information and scheduling.
